Music

I’ve been blessed by some wonderful new CDs! I finally got around to putting the albums I already had on iTunes onto CD (yes, I’m old school and still use actual CDs lol) so it was like I had five new CDs.Really, I only bought two new ones though. I already had, Sons & Daughters by Sovereign Grace Music, The Purest Place by Watermark and Pilgrim Days by Indelible Grace I bought Help My Unbelief by Red Mountain Church. It is wonderful! It is full of old hymns, beautifully done. Presently, track three, the title track, Help My Unbelief is my favorite. I couldn’t find a video of it to share it though. I also bought Awaken The Dawn by Keith and Kristyn Getty . It is a great CD too. I like that it has some more upbeat songs — my girls love dancing around to them. And, playing the upbeat songs in the morning just put me in a chipper mood. However, it is a slower song that I like best on this CD right now. It’s called “Still, My Soul, Be Still.” And it’s below for your enjoyment 🙂  (Thank you all for your music suggestions!)

Lyrics:

Still my soul be still
And do not fear
Though winds of change may rage tomorrow
God is at your side
No longer dread
The fires of unexpected sorrow

Chorus:
God You are my God
And I will trust in You and not be shaken
Lord of peace renew
A steadfast spirit within me
To rest in You alone

Still my soul be still
Do not be moved
By lesser lights and fleeting shadows
Hold onto His ways
With shield of faith
Against temptations flaming arrows

Still my soul be still
Do not forsake
The Truth you learned in the beginning
Wait upon the Lord
And hope will rise
As stars appear when day is dimming

Be Blessed,

  1. Thank you Trisha! I love the Getty's! And what a beautiful hymn! It's hymns like this — that exalt Christ and Christ crucified for which I am so thankful for too! Thank you for posting my dear friend! Love & blessings!

  2. I haven't heard this song by the Getty's – it's beautiful. Isn't it wonderful that we have some beautiful new music in the church?Thank you for sharing this.
