Today we planted a small indoor garden. I have no idea how this type of thing works, if its too early or anything of the sort. We just gave it a go.

Our small garden consists of mostly herbs (oregano, rosemary, tarragon, cilantro, parsley, dill, chives, sweet basil) and cherry tomatoes. The girls are really excited about it and it should be a fun little project.

  1. You should be able to do a Google search to find out a good time to start such things. That's how I got information about when to do broccoli and lettuce. I'm going to be looking into herbs, too. I'm trying to get this family to eat more healthy, and the only way that will work is if I can get it seasoned right and have fresh produce at my fingertips at a moment's notice. lol

  2. I hope you have more luck with your indoor herbs than I did. I planted some last spring and babied those things the whole time. They grew great for a while, died off, came back to life and then finally died for the last time. My parsley lasted longer than anything. They also get pretty large inside too and attract any little tiny flying bug that enters your house. I had a horrible time getting rid of gnats. When they get past the seedling stage and it's warm enough outside, I'd recommend putting them outside.
